CRYOTEC: Plant experts with excellent service -Tailor-made plant construction

The tradition of the Wurzen plant construction dates back to 1879. CRYOTEC Anlagenbau GmbH develops tomorrow's technology with the know-how shaped by its historical roots.

With the foundation of today's CRYOTEC Anlagenbau GmbH in 1995 by Peter Bienert, the focus of the company since then has been on innovative solutions for air separation plants, CO2 technologies, liquefaction plants and special applications for technical gases. Since 2009 CRYOTEC Anlagenbau GmbH belongs to the internationally operating plant construction EPC Group. The resulting synergies enabled the product range to be significantly expanded once again.

Foundation of the Maschinenfabrik (Mafa) Schütz & Hertel for the construction of steam engines, pumps and compressors

1887

Change of company name to G. A. Schütz Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei Wurzen

1947

Nationalization to VEB NAGEMA Wurzen

1953

Continuation of the long tradition by VEB Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei Wurzen (MAFA Wurzen):
Planning and assembly of air separation and carbon dioxide plants as well as compressors for various gases

Change of company name to Maschinenfabrik Wurzen GmbH i. L.

Continuation of cryogenic plant construction by Ingenieurbüro CRYOTEC Energie- und Verfahrenstechnik
